I usually don't create posts such as this one, but a colleague in a course I am taking posted it on Google+ in our class community. It was created by a teacher in her school, and it has already received over 6,00 hits on YouTube since it was posted there recently. What a great way for a high school teacher to get through to students, letting them know that often what they are dealing with is something many of their own teachers probably have dealt with at one time. I loved this video.
ReplyDeleteThis video is powerful and the teacher was very brave to tell her story. So often,a young person will think she is the only person who is going through a difficult time and is too embarassed to confide in anyone, especially an adult. Hopefully this video will encourage students to share their struggles with their teacher and to feel safe and supported in the school environment.
