80 Alternatives to YouTube

80 Alternatives to YouTube is an e-book, which its author, Med Kharbach, has made available for sharing. I will embed the ebook below, but you can also access it as Google Doc if you prefer to review the book in that way. After skimming through the book and options explored, let us know which of these alternatives you have used, which you want to explore, and which you think you might want to use in your teaching.

Use the forward > mark or the scroll bar to advance through the book.
Use the magnifying icon to enlarge the image and text.

  1. Wow! There is so much technology that can be accessed from school that I am just learning about. I found an excellent documentary on volcanoes that I can use this week with a student who has been difficult. This should get him hooked on the information. The graphics are so exciting. Another great resource and it was so easy to use. Definitely an accommodation to my student's lesson.

  2. Mary Ellen, I am delighted that you found a resource you can use. It is amazing to see the number of resources available. We need to keep our ears and eyes open to them and to share what we learn with others. Thank you for your comment.

  3. Wow! I have only previously heard of teacher tube and school tube. I had no idea there were so many resources out there. Thank you for expanding my horizons. It's so frustrating to me that there are not more current professional developments for teachers to help keep us up to date.

  4. I love watching documentaries and the Documentary Heaven is a wealth of documentaries in many categories. This is a great resource for use in the classroom (mainly with older students!) but I will also use this with my family to watch something different than the reality TV shows that have flooded the TV! I have been a fan of Hulu (and Hulu plus) for awhile- glad to see it's included in the list!
